![]() ![]() The Charvel® Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 2H FR, the ideal instrument for dazzling high speed playing, was born and raised in this sunny environment. ![]() Southern California is a hotbed of guitar innovation, from new musical styles and sounds to hot-rodded high-performance guitar designs. As curvaceous as a high performance hot rod, Charvel’s San Dimas guitars are widely acclaimed for their sleek, bold style. The speed neck profile and 12”-16” compound radius fingerboard are designed for warp speed playing, unhindered positional shifts and mile-wide upper register bends without fretting out. The two-piece maple neck hosts 22 jumbo frets along with a pair of graphite reinforcement rods to resist bending and warping under environmental stresses. Play with confidence in the guitar’s tuning stability and intonation, thanks to the secure sixsaddle hardtail bridge. The volume control conceals a push/pull coil split to have even more tonal variations on tap while the No-Load tone control operates like a standard tone control from positions one through nine, removing itself from the circuit at position ten for transparent sound, letting the full natural voice of the guitar shine through. Don't miss this chance to own a piece of rock and roll history! These early Charvel guitars are becoming very rare.Decked out to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of today’s guitarists, this instrument sports two high-output Seymour Duncan® humbucking pickups-a crisp, clear JB™ bridge pickup and a rich, fat ’59 neck pickup for robust tone with highly dynamic articulation and harmonic balance. There s a crack at the heel, but it is stable and presents no stability problems. Overall the guitar is in very good condition and is perfectly playable, but it has been gigged in the past and sports some battle scars (see images). The frets have plenty of life and may be original. This was added aftermarket back in the day- the guitar originally had a V-Trem. The bridge is an early patent applied for Kahler, and it is fully functional with the original arm. I'm not sure what pickup is installed, but I believe it is original to the guitar. The neck is highly figured- both flamed and birdseye. Plugged in, this guitar screams, and the neck is incredibly fast. The body is very resonant and produces a sweet and balanced sound unplugged. ![]() It's got an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. For sale is an early 80s San Dimas Charvel, serial number 2557. ![]()
